Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone massage has been a very popular massage technique for the past 10+ years. This modality is unique because of the elements involved as well as the results achieved. It is designed to benefit both the client and therapist simultaneously.

For the client, this massage offers the best of both worlds; deep therapy, and unparalleled relaxation. The vascular benefits of hot stone massage allow the client to heal from aching muscles, trigger points, and tension, and to find relief from the pain of sore muscles and stiffness. The heat of the stones, the pressure on the muscles and the nurturing elements fo the massage allow the client to achieve a relaxation level much more significant than that experienced with manual massage alone. Even clients who have trouble relaxing on the massage table experience a deep level of tranquility during a hot stone massage.

Further, the stones are earth's energy and their polarity transfers a healing energy into the body, and nourishment to the body and soul.

Overall, clients feel nurtured, grounded and sedated. These results can last for days. Clients very often fall into another zone, be it meditation, deep contentment, or peaceful rest. Many people feel that this modality helps them to achieve a connection of mind, body and soul.

Some comments we've heard following a hot stone massage:

"This must be what heaven feels like"
"It's like the waters are parting, except it's muscles rather than water"
"I've had hundreds of massages in my life, and I've never felt like this"
"Do you provide a ride home?"
"This is the first time since my auto accident that I've been pain-free and warm at the same time"
"I wanted to tell you something, but I couldn't speak"

For the practitioner, hot stone massage provides a break for tired hands, as the stones and heat do most of the work. The heat of the stones literally melts away the tension in the muscles, allowing the practitioner to achieve deep results with less stress on their hands while using less pressure. Additionally, the heat of the stones is therapeutic for the practitioner.

The satisfaction we've felt from helping our clients to achieve this level of self-healing and tranquility is overwhelming, and we're thrilled to be able to offer hot stone massage to our clients.
