1150 Hour Neuromuscular/Trigger Point Program

This comprehensive massage certification program can be completed in 11 1/2 months and includes certification in Trigger Point Therapy and an international certification in Neuromuscular Therapy. Our Neuromuscular Certification is offered by the International Academy for Neuromuscular Therapies (IANMT). CIMT is proud to have been a pioneer in the field of massage therapy, and is one of the original three schools that piloted the IANMT certification program. To date, the Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy is one of only nine schools in the United States to offer this certification.
As part of the training program, students are required to complete a portion of their requirements outside of class. This prepares the student for private practice of massage therpay by structuring a diversity of practice sessions and professional contact with the public. The clinical lab hours requirements consist of:
- 20 chair massages
- 100 full body massages
- 10 community service massages
- 21 massages received
- 13 Trigger Point Therapy charted sessions
- 6 preceptor evaluation massages
- Record keeping on each massage
